As your level in the game increases, you get to increase the level of your characters too. The special skills of the characters can be upgraded after completing the necessary gear.

Ninja Turtles offers multiple game modes to you. There is an engaging Story mode which comprises of seven challenging chapters. Each chapter is divided into various stages. In each stage, you have to complete multiple raids and defeat the enemy boss at the end. After you have completed a chapter in the normal mode, you get to complete it again in the hard mode. Completing story chapters grants you DNA fragments, gear items, and pizzas. The pizzas are needed for refueling your energy. These pizzas get refilled with the passage of time too. Aside from the Story mode, there is a Journeys mode, Tournaments involving PvP matches, Challenges and Daily Quests which unlock when you reach a certain level.
